Food was very good, service was friendly and efficient. Fun place to go!

This was a great little place in Rosemary. We would have never known about it without Yelp. I had the grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwich and it was cooked perfectly on a light bun. It made for a great lighter lunch. We also had the Kale salad with chicken. Again, cooked just right and the Kale was very fresh. A nice selection of bottled beers with several craft and imports. Was pretty busy at lunch, but service was still fast.

Great service! Food was great and very convenient to where we were staying. We will definitely be back!

Good for a light lunch, chips and salsa were good. Burger was okay.

Delicious!!! Had the tenderloin and it was amazing. Great food in a nice casual atmosphere.

Visited Summer Kitchen Cafe today for lunch and it was amazing, as usual. I had the Portobello Mushroom Roll Up and it tasted so fresh and delicious. We walked in right before it got busy and were able to sit inside. The staff was courteous and our food was delivered in a timely manner. This is one of my favorite spots to grab lunch when spending the weekend on the gulf.

Always enjoy a visit or two to Summer Kitchen on our annual week-long visit to Rosemary Beach. Creative, healthy, delicious breakfast fare. This visit, we got the granola with yogurt and a spinach/blue cheese omelet. Omelet was very nicely prepared. Comes with home potatoes. My own quirk, I don't care much for rosemary, but they were still nice. Granola tasted homemade. I think I'd try it with the almond milk option next time. Overall a great, relaxing breakfast!

This place was wonderful and I really enjoyed my expereince there. The food was excellent, the service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and low key. It's not a fancy restuarant but a shorts and flip flop kind of place. It's located across from Rosemary Beach in a little German/Swiss town. Although the food was excellent, the location was better. I rode to the restuarant in a rental bike. There were plent of bike parking in front of the restaurant. It was the perfect low-key beach town with world class food.

Very good food in a cozy setting. I had a bacon cheddar burger that was superb and my wife loved her quinoa salad. A little pricey, but pretty standard for the area.

    (4)
  • Kim H.

Food is always delicious. So fun to ride your bike to a great restaurant. Blue cheese and spinach omlet is to die for! French toast and home fries are a hit among our family. Staff is friendly but a bit slow.

  • Donna S.

I have a gluten tolerance and they can work around that!! I recommend the portabella mushroom roll up without the roll up!! It was amazing !! We will definitely be back here !!

  • Kimberly T.

Had the quinoa salad with monk fish, potato kale soup and a mimosa. DELICIOUS!!!! Great service! I definately recommend this place.

Fun stop on annual vacation on 30a! Great breakfast and lunch, even better dinner. Pork chop was great this trip. Eat here early on your vacation, you'll be back again and again.

Had the balsamic chicken salad. Chicken was chewy and the salad was over seasoned. It left my mouth numb. Would not return.

Great vibe. Summery and non pretentious. Great food. The hummus is fabulous and fresh. Professional staff who care. Thank you for a great experience.

  • Sandra M.

Terrible- $7 for what was prob 1 cold scrambled egg and a tablespoon of raw potatoes. Also terrible that there is a sign soliciting tips when the service is counter ordering and service is nonexistent. Can't imagine going for any other meal when this experience was so disappointing.

  • Paula C.

Four of us ate breakfast here. Everything was excellent! Egg combos were awesome and the green smoothie was tasty and healthy. The potatoes were very tasty too. Great people. Great spot. Great food! Eat here!!

Why can't every place be this good? Really well prepared food made with tasty local ingredients served by friendly, knowledgable people in an unpretentious atmosphere. What's not to like? Ate here on June 28, 2013. Family of 4 with a bottle of wine + desert (key lime pie, of course): $140.

Great sandwiches and I love to sit outside in the shade and watch the world go by. Perfect for a mid day lunch spot. I'll be back again

Had breakfast and lunch there over the weekend. Burgers were fantastic, as were omelette and French toast! Reasonably priced too!

    (5)
  • David F.

Their burger is awesome. They really pride themselves on their ingredients and I have never had a bad meal there. It is terrific if you are just off the beach and just need a place to grab a quick bite. The staff is pretty chill and they let you do your thing.

  • Dana H.

We had a wonderful, quiet, thoroughly pleasant dinner here. Can't recommend it highly enough.

  • Megan K.

We had the chicken salad salad and the spicy chicken wrap- both were delicious and the perfect light meal before hitting the beach. I also tried the famous Sweet Water IPA you can only get in southern states- so good! We really liked the quaint atmosphere and lovely oldies playing on the radio! Cute & yummy- we highly recommend!

  • Stacy B.

Awesome food! Very casual with indoor and outdoor seating. Had the ham egg cheese wrap. Delicious. Potatoes on the side perfectly cooked. Vegetarian food, fresh fish.

  • Christine P.

Just a really, really lovely meal. Service was fantastic - our server was warm and friendly, knowledgable and quick. Our meal was incredible - we each started with a salad followed by the pan fried chicken for me and the tuna special for my husband. Kids were happy to have hotdogs as an option! The brownie sundae was huge and delicious and perfect for sharing. The keylime pie was fantastic too. Dinner here was the best meal we've had in Rosemary this week!

  • Rachel B.

Good breakfast spot. Lots of outside seating. You order at the front window and seat yourself. Got the whole hog omelet with potatoes on the side and was great. Nice service too.

    (5)
  • Robby H.

Always good for a super casual lunch. Got the chicken salad salad which is chunky and tasty with a hint of chipotle. Also, the quinoa salad which was also good.

    (5)
  • Ann R.

Breakfast granola hit the spot. Simple, flavorful and on the healthier side of options offered. But please Summer Kitchen...please offer a bottomless cup of coffee as an option for your guests!

  • Krystal M.

Ok as someone who absolutely loves fresh food the SK is so fresh and good~ I had the portabella wrap and kale salad:) I will crave both of these items...the staff is so welcoming and you can see that they love what they are doing;)

  • Adam Y.

Ate breakfast here. Food was delicious! I had French toast w/ choc. milk. Wife had fruit bowl, and hot tea. Total was $20. Bit more than we expected. Friendly service, although the girl in the kitchen seemed to take offense when we took the bacon off our order. Other than that, very good experience. Would definitely recommend.

  • Derek B.

I tried the Kobe Beef burger and it was absolutely fantastic! The burger was prepared exactly as I had asked. My wife had the Spicy Grilled Chicken Roll Up with a mild amount of Thai sauce. The kids couldn't make up their minds, so the staff put together some chicken and cheese quesadillas that were not on the menu. One of the things we appreciated most about dining at the Summer Kitchen Cafe was how accommodating the kitchen was at customizing their menu to suit our palates! We could not have asked for the staff to be friendlier and look forward to returning.

One of our favorite places on 30A to grab lunch especially the roll ups. Love the casual beach setting and love the owners, always friendly and helpful!

  • MG S.

Great service and fresh, delicious food at reasonable prices. It's a casual and small place, so come as you are. Saw lots of joggers stop by after their runs for a coffee and healthy breakfast. Will come again!

  • Peter H.

Been coming here since it opened and have consistently been served some of the best, and healthiest food available in the area at this place. Greens sourced locally, all salad dressing are made from scratch, meat from organic farms. This is REAL food. The burgers at lunch are great, but be warned, they don't serve them at night! Their dinner menu is entirely different and the service switches from counter service at breakfast and lunch to full service at night. At dinner, try the pan fried grouper, or the shrimp and penne pasta. For dessert they have something like tiramisu that I had that was delicious. It's small and can get crowded, but it's always worth it.

  • Scott L.

Hands down one of the best dishes I have ever had! Excellent staff, great service, you will not be disappointed.

  • Humming H.

OK--after two consecutive breakfasts, we settle on a 3-star rating. We're a traveling band, so this is a culmination of ten breakfasts! Decent coffee, tasty omelettes, delicious french toast, SMALL PORTIONS for everything. "Seaside" prices ($$$). I advise you not to order the $6.50 "granola/almond milk" combo unless you eat a breakfast BEFORE coming--it's real tiny. Like--a baby would be hungry after eating it. Not a bad spot overall if you're not worried about prices.

  • Cassandra K.

We were greeted at the front, so friendly. Our server, Cindy, was very nice and professional. She made us feel so welcomed and like family. She did a great job taking care of us. We ordered the guacamole for an appetizer, which was amazing. I had the prime rib and my girlfriend had the shrimp and grits. Everything was grass fed and organic. I've never had anything like that before. It was delicious. We plan on going back. Thank you for the great experience.

  • Justin W.

Delicious breakfast here! Everything I tasted was worth buying again; omelet, breakfast wrap, potatoes, cinnamon roll, etc. Great selection. I would go back knowing I would have quality food.

  • Michelle A.

I wasn't sure if the Summer Kitchen would have good food since it's in a touristy area, but everyone in our group of 7 really enjoyed it. It's a small restaurant, but is very cute and has fresh flowers on the table and has a good amount of outdoor seating. I got a #2 which was a chicken and black bean sandwich with a side salad and everyone else in my group got a variety of sandwiches, salads and a burger. Everyone really liked their food and I was especially impressed by the salad. I am pretty picky when it comes to salad, but they used good lettuce instead of iceberg and the toppings and dressing were delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

  • Jennifer R.

Glad I found this place on my last day because the French toast is out of this world! No egg whites but good scrambles eggs and great fresh squeezed oj!

  • Kelly T.

Wow, what a great place! A fab casual cafe with lots of outdoor seating serving organic, grass feed beef and pork, organic free range chicken, and fresh gulf seafood. We eat gluten free and they were very accommodating to our needs. Highly recommended for those looking for a fresh, healthy, organic option on 30-A.

  • Hadi S.

Overpriced: $5 split entree fee, even though each person ordered. $8 for a piece of chicken to add to a kid's pasta. Low class move: they said no split fee and then came back and said they "had to" charge it. Unhealthy: the pasta with chicken had almost a small plateful of butter filling the bottom of the bowel. Never seen this much free butter (not part of another sauce) added to plain pasta before. The grouper fish plate was made on top of this mushy sauce which was very heavily buttered again. Bottom line: skip this place, there are much better places on 30A, Rosemary Beach.

  • Tnm M.

Great people and atmosphere. No wifi for kids. Food and coffee was great, but beware they make you buy salsa extra with your southwest breakfast burrito. Is worth a try

  • Ed Z.

Great simple lunches. Tasty and flavorful dinner dishes. Never had a bad meal there.

    (5)
  • Mick P.

Lunch and dinner might be good, but breakfast is a joke. $7 for basically a breakfast taco in a soft tortilla (with horrible grits). Dry, so asked for salsa and was told they sell if for $2.50. Are you kidding me? Cute place, but would not go back for breakfast at all. Run by kids who seemed like they could care less about service. Cute, pleasant, just not service oriented.

    (1)
  • Steve H.

It has a small-town cafe feel with a close-to-gourmet menu. If you're traveling along 30A you must eat here.

    (4)
  • William S.

Great little place. The wife had the frattata omelette and I had the whole hog omelette . They serve illy coffee.

    (4)
  • Margaret P.

I'm pretty much obsessed with this place. Friendly staff, DELICIOUS food, and casual atmosphere with outdoor seating. Order the #1, Spicy Chicken Roll-up for lunch...you won't regret it.

  • Cindy W.

Overpriced, $10.00 dried burger. So much for the Kobe beef burger I was waiting to taste. Way overrated. Perhaps bfast is better.

  • John P.

Went there for breakfast. Food was fine. Coffee was just OK for $3. Dinner menu looks expensive for such a small casual place.

    (3)
  • Android I.

This is fine dining in casual dress. For a family of four, we paid around $110 for our meal. The boys ordered mac and cheese, dear lord please help them to learn to eat right one day, and I ordered the grouper on cheese grits with asparagus. OMG! It was worth every penny. This restaurant even Gordon Ramsey would say is delcious. In fact, it may have been the most delicious meal I have ever eaten. Service was marvelous, and the town is beautiful. Expensive, high end, and worth it.

Very good, casual place. Fun wait staff and yummy food.

Charming place with delicious food and wonderful service! Beach town restaurants are notorious for bad service. Summer help can be inconsistent. Not at this place. We had a large group with a wide spectrum of ages and tastes. We were all charmed by this little spot. It was a wonderful vacation experience. Thank you staff!

I work in the Rosemary Beach area and had eaten lunch at Summer Kitchen quite a few times. The lunch would get about 3 1/2 stars. Good but not anything special. I didn't even know they served dinner. But one night looking for something casual saw that they were open and stopped in. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. There are many great restaurants in the area. But most of the fine dining establishments while more casual than in a big city, still can feel a bit stuffy and a little pretentious. The Summer Kitchen is real casual. But the food is fantastic. Every bit as good as any of the high end restaurants in the area. Our waiter Justin was friendly. Knew the menu completely. Gave us very good recommendations. He kept the mood light. I had the Cobia Special. Cooked perfectly. Came with green beans on a bed of grits. I hate green beans, but here they were great. My wife had the Shrimp and scallops with grits and Jambalaya sauce. Oh. My. God. it was good. For great food in a fun and casual atmosphere, you can't beat the Summer Kitchen.

  • Tom K.

It was just a quick stop for some sweet tea but they won me over. The owner/manager/whatever was friendly, told us about the place, how they use "corn-based plastic" because it is better for the environment. That was cool. They are in the town square of a very upscale residential area. (think Malibu) so their prices reflect. But don't let that keep you away. This is a great little place for sweet tea, and I'm sure fantastic food.

  • Stephanie A.

I have only eaten breakfast (not lunch or dinner) here, but I make sure to do so every time I visit Rosemary Beach. The food is wholesome and delicious. My favorite dish is the veggie omelet. Service is great, and I sense that it is family-operated; at least, I feel like family when I go there. I love the outdoor seating. My only complaint is that it doesn't open as early as my 16 month old wakes up - we want our Summer Kitchen Breakfast EARLY!

    (4)
  • Diane S.

    Creative and healthy options. Delicious!

Simply great . All the breakfast food is good and excellent coffee!

Food is ok. Setting is great. You know going that it is a tourist spot so that's part of it. Good place for snacks, but not top notch food just ok

My sister and I took advantage of the unseasonably sunny and warm weather this morning and went for a drive down 30-A. Around 10:30 we were in Rosemary Beach and feeling hungry so we looked around for a place to eat and found the Summer Kitchen Cafe. It is in a really great spot in the central community area on the corner of Atticus Drive. The menu was posted outside and was sparce but thorough. Everything on it had a good description and was reasonably priced. We both agreed the grilled chicken sandwich was what we were interested in but if I hadn't been as hungry I probably would have had the Caesar Salad, which you can add chicken to for a couple dollars extra. This isn't a place where you wait to be seated, wait for a server to come take your order, and then wait for your food to be brought out. You order from a counter and pay the lady as she rings you up. She gives you your drinks on the spot and then you sit wherever you'd like and your food is brought to you. There were seats inside but the dining room is small. There is much more seating outside. On a rainy day that might be an issue but it was perfect today. Shortly after we sat down our food arrived. I really feel like it had only been a few seconds since our chicken had physically left the grill before it was in front of us. It was hot and delicious. There aren't a lot of places geared towards tourists that make a great chicken sandwich but this place couldn't have made a better one. The sandwich was served with an obscure brand of potato chips, which were also very good. The sweet tea was fantastic. For what it is, the Summer Kitchen Cafe is a great place to grab something quick that doesn't taste like mass produced fast food. I'm sure in the more high volume summer months we wouldn't have been served so quickly, but it certainly would have been worth the wait. I'm definitely adding it to my list of places to take out of town guests for lunch when we're down there.

Great food, nice staff, cheaper than other vacation restaurants...

  • Joan C.

Best food we ate in this area! The restaurant is small, but the food and service are outstanding. I had the best mushroom ravioli ever and I've been to Italy countless times. My husband ate the fresh grouper with grits that he raved about. The Greg Norman wine was incredible. No question we will go back here.

    (5)
  • J D.

Went here last week for the first time. The usual beach restaurant caveats must be applied. Limited menu, seasonal staff, more expensive than it should be and slow. You're on vacation, chill. So we did, and ordered the organic burgers, a chicken sandwich and swordfish. Chicken, just fine. Fish, ok to better than ok. Burgers, which they are "famous" for, nah. Asked for medium well, got medium rare. Hate to do this but... "can I get this cooked closer to medium well please?" Oh sure was the response. Two minutes later, the burger reappeared, and man was it hot. Everything. The bun, the plate, all the toppings, and the meat was warmer, but still red. Really? Yeah, it was just given 90 seconds in the microwave. I didn't think anyone did that anymore. Asked again, and... ah it doesn't matter. If you're staying in Rosemary Beach, you'll probably go there, because it's walking distance. Perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised, or maybe you'll get a microwaved burger.

Came here on our first Sunday in Rosemary beach because George's was close, and boy am I glad it was closed. I've been to George's in past years and this was much better. Lightly battered grouper on asparagus and grits was incredible. Very tasty sweet tea. Was about $28 per entrée, but was worth it. Will be back.

  • Rob F.

Awesome dinner with the kids. NOW, you might think this place is for lunch only...you'd be wrong! They have an excellent dinner menu that would rival, in taste and presentation, a five star restaurant. The only thing missing would be a stuffy atmosphere (not here). Great food, great service and a great atmosphere for the family! McKenzie did an excellent job of making sure everything went great! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    (5)
  • Kathy S.

Simple and delicious for breakfast! There is a great crew that works there and that is always a good start for good food. I had a spinach, tomato & cheddar omelette. Hash browns are standard but I opted for toast (dry and wheat with sweet stuff on the side). DH had French toast and sausage. Food hit the spot and I enjoyed illy coffee that was served. Great place for a quick, relaxing breakfast. I highly recommend.

    (5)
  • Lauren H.

I had the shrimp and penne pasta, which was delicious (feta, sundried tomatoes, mmm...)! The prices were slightly high, but the food was worth it!

    (4)
  • Karen S.

It has wonderful food. I am so glad to bring me and my family her. Even if you come here for breakfast it is good!!!!

    (5)
  • Celene C.

We really enjoyed their grouper and grits. Small indoor seating and can get very loud with just a few people inside, but they have alot of outdoor seating to chose from. I suggest sitting outside with views of the courtyard. Their bread is also to die for! I could have made an entire meal off of just it.

    (5)
  • Kayla S.

This place was nice - we sat outside. The inside seating space was tiny. The food was good, but not the most amazing thing I've ever eaten. Kids meals were $7-$11 - I thought it was silly that the penne with butter cost $8. Staff was friendly but with little personality. Located in the heart of Rosemary beach - lots of cute shops nearby. Parking can be a bit of a pain though.

    (3)
  • Beverly C.

Ok for a quick breakfast, but nothing to write home about. Had coffee and a veggie omelet that was slightly undercooked.

    (3)
  • Scott C.

Awesome food! We went with a big group and they did a great job and have great food! Salads and the beef tenderloin was prefect. Dessert and coffee was also good.

    (5)
  • Chris H.

An easy stop with a great location and outdoor patio. Arrive around 7 for no wait. I've had good success with the pan fried grouper and my bride likes the tenderloin although at $32 it might be a little overpriced. Their ice-cream Shack is better and less chaotic than other candy options in town. The breakfast menu looks good too!

Fun place to eat supper with family and friends. Really enjoyed the outside dining experience. Excellent food, great service!

My wife and I are staying in Rosemary Beach for a week and before hitting the pool wanted to have a decent lunch that was within walking distance. We walked the two blocks to Main Street where many of the local restaurants are and we recognized the corner restaurant was new from when we were here last year. We said why not and walked up to the outside podium where two staff were standing. I expected to get the normal, "Welcome to ______, how many this afternoon?". But instead we got the confused look and, "Can I help you?". It caught me off guard and I wanted to say something unfit for this website, but I just looked at him like, "You think we might be here to eat food?" My better half who is much more nimble with her jargon and who has much more grace than I, was able to negotiate a table inside. There were 4 or 5 outside tables with umbrellas that we could have chosen as well. Once inside, there are another 4 or 5 tables and a "bar" area. The inside is small, but decorated nicely and it seemed very clean. I very nice waitress with a Michiganer accent greeted us and brought our menus and silverware. We chose quickly off the menu-I had the New England Lobster Roll and she had the Spinach Salad w/ Shrimp. We both enjoyed water to drink. The waitress was attentive (not many others in there) and kept our drinks full and made sure we were happy. There was a sign that said SK2 (the 2 was raised up like SK-squared" Apparently there is a Summer Kitchen down the way that does finer dining and breakfast. They opened this cafe last year and go with the same menu all day long. It's a little more laid back and they are kid friendly. Just don't bring too many kids. They might not fit in this place. We were super happy when our food arrived. It didn't take too long and it looked gorgeous. Pics will be uploaded soon after this review is done. My lobster was very good (just got back from Boston and that's all I ate up there). It was comparable to some of the smaller places in Boston. My wife really enjoyed her salad as well. She gave me a bite of it and it had goat cheese in it-YUM! The prices here are not bad for the area we are in. We knew that it would be higher than usual, but were pleased when the bill came. So overall Very happy! The kids out front need some help from their manager in how to greet guests, but besides that it was a great experience!

  • Megan D.

One thing that's great about this cafe is that they're open earlier than almost every other breakfast place on 30A. We came for an early breakfast and tried the frittata and south of the border roll up. Both were very tasty, the salsa was homemade, and the ingredients were fresh. The only complaint I have is that it is a little on the pricier side for a cafe in which you order from the counter.

    (4)
  • Meg H.

Atmosphere is beautiful and menu selection is nice but the food is relatively plain for the price.

  • Lila W.

We've eaten breakfast here several times and it is good! The French French Toast is excellent. My daughter and brother had the breakfast wraps with home fries and they highly recommend. It is open for other meals but we've only eaten breakfast here.

This is a small quaint little place that me and my wife stopped at while we were shooting a wedding. The wait staff was good, food was good, and I had a great spontaneous date. Check it out if you can!

  • Carolyn W.

Yeah! Gluten-free and plant-based options (aka vegan). I was so excited because very few places in this area have plant-based options. There were several items I could make work! And it appeared that items are of quality ingredients and freshly prepared. You order at the counter and post a number at your table; food is brought out to you. The positives: Everyone is friendly; shop is clean; pleasant decor; fresh flowers on the table; water served in real glasses; salads served on real plates with real forks (sandwiches tended to come in plastic baskets); house guacamole was yummy (not spicy at all) as was the Kale, Avocado, Banana, Cayenne smoothie. Waiter offered adding salsa to our chips for an additional $3. Seemed rather pricey but the spice would have been enjoyable. We both opted for the Black-bean and Quinoa burger (mine on a salad, husband's on a bun). This vegan burger looked amazing. Sadly, it was bland. My salad had more flavor than the burger (though I did appreciate the broiled crunch of the exterior of the burger). The burger needs condiments to make it taste anything but bland. Of course, you might not notice if you add their cheese (for an additional price). Speaking of cheese, I spoke very clearly to the person who took the order that I did not want cheese on the burger or the salad (it was included on the salad). She asked what dressing I wanted. She gave me a list; I choose the lemon but confirmed that it had no dairy. And then my burger/salad arrives with feta cheese spread through out it. They redid it but did inquire if I had a dairy allergy. I don't understand why they would ask this unless it was to try to pick off cheese from the burger. Potato chips served with the sandwiches, really? In a place that seems to cater to those more concerned with their health there should be better side options. Though not attentive table service some was provided like clearing our used dishes or refilling our waters. The smoothie, guacamole and pleasant atmosphere helped offset the bland blackbean burgers. If I go again, I would stick with a salad.

Summer Kitchen is a must-stop for anyone staying in the Rosemary Beach area. We sampled SK's breakfast offerings two mornings in a row while enjoying a brief 30A getaway. While SK is nothing fancy, it exudes small town Southern charm, with traditional and healthier food options served by the friendliest staff this side of Birmingham. A great morning spot to plan your day at the beach with friends and family, Southern Kitchen won't disappoint.

Great breakfast option Sunday morning, opened at 7:30 but was serving coffee already at 7 for people waiting. Quality fresh ingredients, and good service. They even kept our left overs in the fridge while we walked around! That's service! Thy even let me take a picture of the kitchen cooking on cast iron skillets!

We went here today and ordered a blackened sandwich it came completely white clearly it had not been blackened!! We told our waiter and she told the chef and he said nope that's blackened. We then asked to speak to the manager and he came out and told us blackening was just the kind of seasoning not a way of cooking. We informed him that that is simply not true and he proceeded to be very rude to us so rude that he had to give us the meal for free! We will not be coming back! Just to clarify this is for the new location down by the cow girl kitchen called SK2 cafe.

I am a local year round resident. After a disappointing experience at another restaurant my visiting sister and I went to the Summer Kitchen for breakfast. The service was friendly and fast. The food was really really good and healthy. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful morning and lingered over our coffee. I would recommend the Summer Kitchen as a great spot for a meal.

Mega Expensive for what you get! Breakfast was ok definitely some better choices near by. Plus if there is more than 10 people there at once the service is terrible. I had to wait in line behind 6 people just to get a water refilled.

I have been visiting for years and they are still doing things right. Their lunch menu is an excellent value for Rosemary. Delicious wraps and perfectly brewed sweet tea will get me back every time. The pasta salad unfortunately was rather tasteless. I feel the dressing was lacking in flavor and the pasta overcooked. Fortunately everything else is well done. Service is great, considering the size and amount of guests.

Visited the Summer Kitchen Cafe twice for dinner during the last ten days of May 2014 ... And both times had an excellent experience. The food and service was superb. During our first visit, our party had the Pan Fried Grouper, Shrimp and Grits, and a wonderful summer salad with chicken ... plus the daily special of Pan Seared Grouper. All were spectacular. On our second visit, we couldn't resist the Pan Fried Grouper again, as well as the Shrimp Penne Pasta and the daily special of Diver Scallops. Our service was exceptional each time ... a wonderful and friendly staff. The Summer Kitchen Cafe is a must visit for a Rosemary Beach vacation, whether for dinner, breakfast or lunch.

Our party had the lemon chicken, penne pasta, halibut special and grouper. We started out with the guacamole which was doused in so much lemon that it was almost inedible. The lemon chicken was fair with a large portion of chicken with 2 spears of asparagus and a small mound of tasteless potatoes. The halibut "special" was anything but. It arrived in a mound of black beans with cold shrimp. It also was bland and lacked all flavor. The grouper was fried and when I cut into it, grease came gushing out all over what little potatoes and asparagus I had. This was also severely lacking in flavor. The pasta wasn't bad, but also nothing to write home about. Ended the meal with the brownie which was excellent. Service was good and the ambiance was nice. The portions are extremely small...especially in comparison to the high prices. Would NOT return and do NOT recommend you waste your money here with so many other great places to dine.

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Its a small but cute restaurant with a few tables inside and additional seating outside. This is one of those establishments where you walk up and order at a counter. They will give you a number and bring your food to the table. The lunch menu consists of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. They also have a decent selection of bottled beer to chose from. I ordered the tuna salad salad, a bed of greens with a scoop of tuna salad served with Italian vinaigrette. I enjoyed this salad. It was a good choice for a light meal on a warm day. One of my friends ordered the grilled chiken and black bean roll up. For what it's worth, he commented that it was the best wrap he ever had.

We have been here in rosemary for almost a week and I wish I had known about this place!! My mom and I both agree that we haven't had a salad in years that we enjoyed this much! They have excellent wraps and salads. The chicken is organic and you can top your salads or sandwiches with the fish of the day! We got the arugula and red quinoa salad topped with organic chicken, (feta-add on) and lemon vinaigrette. And for you mamas-to-be, all the cheeses are pasteurized. Love this place and hope to come back tomorrow. Even the pre teens were lined up!! Indoor / outdoor seating and they accept credit cards (except Amex). They serve lunch and dinner. Counter service at its best!

This place is an awesome find if you're looking for good food at a reasonable price without any pretentious feel (only downside, no ocean view). My group split the guacamole, had two different grouper dishes, and finished with the key lime pie. Our waitress was really friendly, the food was really really good (arguably best meal I had between Seaside and Rosemary Beach) and the service was quick. Definitely worth stopping by!

We really enjoyed their grouper and grits. Small indoor seating and can get very loud with just a few people inside, but they have alot of outdoor seating to chose from. I suggest sitting outside with views of the courtyard. Their bread is also to die for! I could have made an entire meal off of just it.

This was a great little place in Rosemary. We would have never known about it without Yelp. I had the grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwich and it was cooked perfectly on a light bun.

Always good for a super casual lunch. Got the chicken salad salad which is chunky and tasty with a hint of chipotle. Also, the quinoa salad which was also good.

Good breakfast spot. Lots of outside seating. You order at the front window and seat yourself. Got the whole hog omelet with potatoes on the side and was great. Nice service too.

Breakfast granola hit the spot. Simple, flavorful and on the healthier side of options offered. But please Summer Kitchen...please offer a bottomless cup of coffee as an option for your guests!

Ok as someone who absolutely loves fresh food the SK is so fresh and good~ I had the portabella wrap and kale salad:) I will crave both of these items...the staff is so welcoming and you can see that they love what they are doing;)

Great service and fresh, delicious food at reasonable prices. It's a casual and small place, so come as you are. Saw lots of joggers stop by after their runs for a coffee and healthy breakfast. Will come again!

Hands down one of the best dishes I have ever had! Excellent staff, great service, you will not be disappointed.

Delicious breakfast here! Everything I tasted was worth buying again; omelet, breakfast wrap, potatoes, cinnamon roll, etc. Great selection. I would go back knowing I would have quality food.

Glad I found this place on my last day because the French toast is out of this world! No egg whites but good scrambles eggs and great fresh squeezed oj!

Great people and atmosphere. No wifi for kids. Food and coffee was great, but beware they make you buy salsa extra with your southwest breakfast burrito. Is worth a try

It has a small-town cafe feel with a close-to-gourmet menu. If you're traveling along 30A you must eat here.

I'm pretty much obsessed with this place. Friendly staff, DELICIOUS food, and casual atmosphere with outdoor seating. Order the #1, Spicy Chicken Roll-up for lunch...you won't regret it.

Overpriced, $10.00 dried burger. So much for the Kobe beef burger I was waiting to taste. Way overrated. Perhaps bfast is better.

Went there for breakfast. Food was fine. Coffee was just OK for $3. Dinner menu looks expensive for such a small casual place.

Best food we ate in this area! The restaurant is small, but the food and service are outstanding. I had the best mushroom ravioli ever and I've been to Italy countless times. My husband ate the fresh grouper with grits that he raved about. The Greg Norman wine was incredible. No question we will go back here.
